"Tuesdays with Dorie" time! This week Stefany of Proceed with Caution chose these crispy, crunchy and chewy peanut butter chocolate cookies with oats.
Even if almost every baker remarked in the comments that the peanut butter was not dominant in the recipe I was quite surprised that it didn't taste like peanut butter biscuits.
The recipe was quite easy. I halved the amount of everything and didn't refridgigate the dough. I think that's what I should have done because the cookies came out very flat - I would have liked them to be more like the granola grabbers.
I like the cookies because they were crisp und crunchy (I took crunchy peanut butter) but I would have liked them to have more "identity": better peanut taste or more oats taste. I think the good chocolate couldn't stand against all these ingredients ...

I agree, I couldn't imagine they didn't taste like PB with one whole cup of chunky! It seems like the chunky part of the peanut butter just disappeared! They were delicious though!
Das wär ein Fest für unsere Jungs und deren Anhang, sogar für mich, falls mit weniger Zucker.
They look very pretty! I agree, I thought these cookies needed to have either more peanut butter or more oatmeal.
