Schnelle Sommer-Tarte - Summer Fruit Galette

For this week's "Tuesdays with Dorie" Michelle in Colorado Springs chose the summer fruit galette. First I thought it would be a kind of waffle. But to my surprise it was a normal crust filled with fruit and custard.
I didn't have the time to prepare the crust so I took a frozen puff pastry which did come out very well. As you might have noticed: Graham crackers aren't common in Germany so I had to substitute them. Ich normally take the biscuits you need for italian Tiramisu. My summer fruit were red and black currants. and the jam I took was black currant jam which really tasted great.
When I first read about this simple custard thing I couldn't believe it. But this simple custard is a really great thing for all kind of improvised fruit tarte. Nice experience!
